Jane,

On a related note to the webmaker email, CLMOOC is starting up again in June. (This is the maker mooc/collaboration with National Writing Project/Educator Innovator, with which P2PU is a partner.)

Below is more info. Would love to have this info shared with School of Open folks. (I've reached out to Bekka and Vanessa as well.) Let me know if you have ideas for other collaborations. Thanks!

Regards,

karen

Dear Open Learning Colleagues:

As part of The Summer to Make, Play & Connect, the second annual Making Learning Connected collaboration (also known as #clmooc), will kick off June 13, 2014. We invite you and your community to take part -- signups are now open: http://clmooc.educatorinnovator.org/2014/

Making Learning Connected
(#clmooc) is a collaborative, knowledge-building and sharing experience through Educator Innovator open to anyone interested in making, playing, and learning together about the educational framework known as Connected Learning.

As an open learning event organized as open and iterative cycles, #clmooc provides educators of all types -- both in and out of school and across grades and disciplines -- with opportunities to play with new tools, make projects and friends, and share projects and reflections with colleagues across the country and around the world.

Want to join us this summer? Please sign up to receive advance information in mid-May.

Want to connect some School of Open courses with ours? We’d love to hear your ideas or talk to you about any opportunities.

Want to share Making Learning Connected with your community? Please do! Please see this years Making Learning Connected site as well as our Frequently Asked Questions.

Making Learning Connected runs from June 13–August 1, 2014. If you have questions, just let us know.

Best,

Karen Fasimpaur and the #clmooc team

Lainie and Erica,

I'm copying in Jane at Creative Commons and Karen Fasimpaur, who runs School of Ed at P2PU.

As far as marketing on P2PU side, we can offer our blog, twitter and Facebook channels. Since the course appeals to the open community and the education community, Jane and Karen may be able to help promote as well.

+ Jane and Karen, for reference, this is the course we've been working on for a bit: http://training.webmakerprototypes.org/en/

+ Bekka, wanted to slot this on the P2PU promotion calendar because it opens soonly and starts May 12.

Merci! VMG

Hey Vanessa,

I wanted to connect you with our engagement folks who are going to be doing press and outreach to get people to sign up for Webmaker Training. I thought maybe we could share our materials with you, then you could remix and disseminate in the P2PU community?

I’ll let Lainie and Erica take the ball here!
