Coming Soon

Join Outernet's first edit-a-thon

Creative Commons is co-hosting our first edit-a-thon, which will be run from the Mozilla East Africa Festival July 18-19 (this weekend!).
  • Register here and participate from anywhere in the world.
  • Steal this blog post and share it on your own blog to help promote the event (Google Doc version).
  • Start reading about the edit-a-thon on our freshly minted wiki.
  • Learn more here.
To briefly summarize, we are inviting the public to submit 50 MB bins of content to be multicast over Outernet. Bins can be in any language and be focused on any theme. Once you have created a bin, post it on Outernet's subreddit for a public review and then we will uplink the bin!

And add one photo via Flickr.

We are giving every Flickr user the chance to add one photo to Humanity's Public Library.

Stay tuned for our big announcement on Thursday :)
