According to the wiki: https://scalr-wiki.atlassian.net/wiki/display/docs/Accessing+Global+Variables+in+a+CLI+Environment

The values in the /etc/profile.d/scalr_globals.sh file are updated whenever an Event is fired or is handled on the server. Would manually executing a script through scalr on the node qualify as and event that would update this file?

I am also going to assume that the values in /etc/profile.d/scalr_globals.sh are update before an Event would execute a script so those values would be available to the script.

Hi,

Any script, executed from Scalr will trigger global variables update on server. And yes, they are updated before any other actions.
