Hi.. all

As the subject describes,  I was attempting to create a Windows Server 2012 R2 role from an instance running in OpenStack.
But I have a problem. This is my log message

===========================================================================
2015-08-10 11:39:19,678+09:00 - DEBUG - scalarizr.app - Initialize platform
2015-08-10 11:39:19,742+09:00 - INFO - scalarizr.util.wintool - Checking sysprep completion
2015-08-10 11:39:19,742+09:00 - DEBUG - scalarizr.util.wintool - Waiting GeneralizationState: 7 ...
2015-08-10 11:39:19,742+09:00 - DEBUG - scalarizr.util.wintool - Reached GeneralizationState: 7
2015-08-10 11:39:19,742+09:00 - DEBUG - scalarizr.util.wintool - Waiting specialize: 9 ...

and I couldn't advance anymore.
I checked my server registry value about specialize. Its value is 0.
Why do I need a value of 9 ? A value of 9 does it mean?
Please help me.

Hi,

Could you describe on what step you're getting this problem? Scalarizr is starting on server you're importing, or on already created role?
Do you run sysprep?

Marat

Hi,

Scalarizr is starting on my server and I entered the command from scalr.
After windows sysprep, Scalarizr want specialize's value to be 9.
what does that value 9 mean??

Scalarizr polls several registry keys, to ensure that Windows setup is ready and we can proceed with configuration.

Could you also post the contents of the following file %windir%\Setup\State\State.ini
Or if you don't have this file, the contents of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State registry branch

Thanks,
Marat

Starting from version 3.11.2 we've removed those magic numbers, and Scalarizr checks for ImageState=IMAGE_STATE_COMPLETE in registry branch SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State
