Slick driver/profile for MonetDB

I would like to develop a JDBC profile for MonetDB (www.monetdb.org/Home)

I took a look at the Slick JDBC package https://github.com/slick/slick/tree/master/slick/src/main/scala/slick/jdbc

but cannot figure out how to start; classes are not fully documented and I don't see how the MonetDB JDBC driver (the one provided by the database) should be integrated with the Slick JDBC profile.

I'll appreciate if someone could offer guidance.
