Hi all,

if you would like to test Scala IDE on upcoming Eclipse Oxygen, you can try my unofficial build.

It's compiled from this branch: https://github.com/rkrzewski/scala-ide/tree/platform/oxygen based on Scala IDE 4.6

You need to install Eclipse Oxygen M7 or higher and use the following update site: https://storage.googleapis.com/scalaide_4_6_oxygen/site/

It has only IDE itself, ie no Play2, Workshet etc.

This is build is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. Use at your own discretion.

Please report any problems in here or on https://gitter.im/scala-ide/scala-ide

Cheers,
Rafał

If you would like to test it together with Play plugin, Worksheet etc, you should be able to add them from Scala IDE milestone update site: http://download.scala-ide.org/sdk/lithium/e46/scala212/dev/site

Cheers,
Rafał

I've rebased & rebuilt the integration branch from current master https://github.com/scala-ide/scala-ide/commit/d08ef594210e2ea45b75bc14080a92055ecfb86a

merged PRs:
https://github.com/scala-ide/scala-ide/pull/1175 (Version checks for compiler plugins consistent with publisher's policy)

cheers,
Rafał

When using Oxygen, if I select scala compiler options in project options I get "The currently displayed page contains invalid values". It happens with both your version of the plugin and the current stable version. It happens on both windows and mac and with a recent install of oxygen. I realise this is not the fault of this version of the plugin but I was wondering if you had insight as to what is happening? Where are the scala options stored on the file system?

Thanks,
Evan.

To answer my own question:

.metadata/.plugins/org.scala-ide.sdt.core/ScalaInstallations.back

seems to the culprit. Rename it and I have preferences again.

I've updated the unofficial Oxygen build, hopefully for the last time!
