Hi all,

I recently came across the 2014 Google Summer of Code entry for Breeze, and I'm wondering if generalized multidimensional arrays are still needed for the library.  If so, I'd love to take up the project.

A bit on my credentials: I was the main implementer of the cisstVector nArray library, a unified C++ framework for efficiently working with multidimensional data sets.  We have a paper that gives a good design overview of the library, the design issues we dealt with, and performance of the library.

On the Scala front, I've been tinkering with Scala over the past year, including going through Martin's FP Coursera course, and currently following along with his Reactive course.  I've wanted to stretch my Scala wings with a larger project for a while now.

Please let me know.  Thanks!

Dan

That sounds great! It's definitely needed. Taking a quick peek at the paper, that's basically exactly what I want, just translated into Scala/Breeze.

Let me know if you need any help getting started.
