signing with S/MIME

Hi,

In a web service my rails app needs to communicate all messages have to be signed by S/MIME. In addition to this I also have to attach my SSL-certificate and certificates in the chain.

Does anyone have a faint idea how this can be done? See attached image. (signering = signing, e-recept = my xml-data)
