Sync S3 bucket data to Minion local directory

Attempting to configure a minion to pull data from an AWS S3 bucket to a local directory on the minion after it is launched. I'd also like to sync the minon's local directory with this S3 bucket periodically.

Has anyone configured minions to support this that could provide examples of states, pillar or ext_pillar files?
