Hi Everyone,

I have a mobile application that's currently tied to Firebase and we're now adding a web-based component to the system to handle some server-side tasks that cannot currently be done with Firebase alone. I've picked Sails as my backend of choice and had a quick question: as I was digging through Mike McNeil's blog, I came across a post on Waterline Adapters (good read, btw). Normally, I would probably create some sort of abstraction over top of the Firebase API in order to decouple my application from Firebase directly. Reading the aforementioned article, I'm thinking this might be a good use-case for the Waterline Adapter and something I could contribute back to the community. Thoughts?

Best,
James

I think that would be a great idea indeed!

There is an online "sails class" tomorrow, I guess you could participate to get started more easily with that and ask specific questions to Mike.
