I tried to install SageMath in Windows but I have a problem with the Virtual Machine. The error is the next

Fallo al importar el servicio virtualizado C:\Users\Sebas\Desktop\sage-6.7.ovf.

Could not create the imported medium 'C:\Users\Sebas\Desktop\sage\Sage-6.7\sage-6.7-disk1.vmdk'.

VMDK: Compressed image is corrupted 'C:\Users\Sebas\Desktop\sage-6.7-disk1.vmdk' (VERR_ZIP_CORRUPTED).

Código Resultado: VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004)
Componente: Appliance
Interfaz: IAppliance {3059cf9e-25c7-4f0b-9fa5-3c42e441670b}

How can fixed it?

Did you :

- Check file size after downloading ?

- Download file again  ?

- Try another mirror  (website you downloaded from) ?

- http://spin.atomicobject.com/2013/06/03/ovf-virtual-machine/
Use tool to convert it to ova ?

I know .ova file (see : http://ftp.iitm.ac.in/sage/win/ ) but i dont know .ovf file. Which website did you use for download ?

That kind of error you get is from incorrect file content after download ... You have to try download another ovf file or check your ovf tools...it's not sagemath related.

Check too :

1. enough disk space

2; enough memory

...because some archive softwares use a lot (for example: Linux/Unix operating system use /tmp)

Which version of VirtualBox do you have? Make sure to upgrade to the latest.

Hi all. Same problem here, with VBox 5.0 and Sage-6.7. Windows 8.1. The
OVA file has the correct extension (.ova). All seems OK, yet I get the
same error as the OP.

Can you verify that your download is correct? E.g. md5sum (I realize that Windows doesn't come with that, but it should be easy to install: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11533)

$ md5sum sage-6.7.ova
