safari won't open sage

I downloaded El Capitan and sage7.2.
After much travail got Sage7.2 installed but received error message," safari
can’t connect to localhost 8080.”

Could you start Sage in a terminal, like this:

./sage -n

(after changing to the directory it is installed in)

This should pop up Sage notebook session in your default browser.

I'll point out that I had a related (though not identical) report that said a recent Sage was upgrading all worksheets automatically - which, as far as I know, it is not yet.

See also the probably unrelated https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sage-support/BWGh6raFKpU but at any rate 7.2 may have some issues in notebook deployment.
