I believe I have fixed notebook issues related to proxying and absolute paths in the notebook. Please see my pull request: https://github.com/sagemath/sagenb/pull/328 .
This makes as many paths as I could identify in notebook pages absolute and virtual host monster aware to support proxying behind an industrial server. It is now possible to run multiple sage notebook servers on a single domain.
Needs testing.
