Connect to sage kernel

Hi,

Please, may I know how to connect to the sage kernel?
I have tried my way around sage.repl.interpreter without success. (Scanty information in documentation)
Or do I have to call it from my shell and redirect sys.stdout?
Trying out some GUI I have built

What exactly do you try to do? Probably, the easiest way is to use SageMath as a library.
