Hi sage-devel,

Can / does the Sage project have an Apple developer account,
and a way to install betas of future releases of Mac OS X on
some machine where a few developers can test building Sage,
so that Sage is ready to ship for the new OS the day it comes
out (and even earlier for those under beta releases of the OS)?

The next version of Mac OS X, "OS X 10.10 Yosemite", soon to
be released, is currently available to registered developers as
OS X 10.10 Yosemite Developer Preview 7 (released yesterday)
and to some members of the public (the first one million to ask)
as OS X 10.10 Yosemite Public Beta 2 (released 2 weeks ago).

One issue with building on OS X 10.10 is that gcc is figuring out
the OS version number as "10.x" and expecting a single-digit x,
this is now well documented and patches are available at gcc,
as well as at the three well-known third-party package managers
for osx: fink, homebrew and macports (links follow).

Personally I've installed Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite Public Beta 2,
and I haven't managed to build Sage, so I'm selfishly interested in
progress on this front (hoping to avoid reverting to 10.9 Mavericks).
