Must carry Comfortable walking shoes Extra set of sandals/cheppels to walk in stream while clearing garbage Small back pack to carry water and food 2 reusable PET bottles filled with water (NOT use-and-throw Aquafina/Kinley/Bisleri) 1 small lunch box and spoon (we will distribute food) One extra set of clothes for those who want to take a dip in the pools Sun cap and sunscreen Camera Transportation We are hiring 3-5 large buses which will cover the bulk of the participants The remaining ones will be covered by a number of cars (list will be finalized tomorrow) Action plan/Schedule 8:30 am - reach parking near the stream distribute food in lunch boxes of participants start walking over flat sandy/open (clear) trail for 3km till we reach the temple 9:15 am - take breakfast under the shady trees and take a dip in the scenic clear water stream (although there is a lot of garbage upstream - the water is crystal clear) form 20 "Garbage Buster" teams (15 members each), each team will be lead by one of our organizers we will distribute gloves and garbage bags to the participants 10:00 am - 20 GB teams will spread out evenly over a 1km stretch along the following stream and start collecting all garbage inside/around the stream (each team will be assigned a 50m long sweeping zone along the stream indicated by a red flag on a long pole) after collecting plastics, bottles, waste paper and other pollutants in garbage bags the participants can choose to either  >> option (1) proceed further till the end of the Tada valley to see the small waterfalls and the mega pool (boulders get bigger towards the end of the valley making it more challenging)  >> option (2) return back to the stream near the temple and relax (carry the garbage bags) 1 pm - take lunch either at the end of the valley or near the temple or along the stream 2 pm - people at the end of the Tada valley will return with the garbage bags to the temple 4 pm - regrouping near the temple, take a refreshing dip in the stream, carry the garbage bags back to the parking spot 5 pm - take group photos of Garbage Buster teams and collected garbage by CTC photographers and members of the press, eat snacks 6 pm - board vehicles to return home 9pm - reach back in Chennai (might be a bit later) Garbage busting tips The garbage consists of mostly of plastic bottles and covers, cartons, packages and glass bottles - these are all clean and can easily be handled even without cloves Warning - some of the glass bottles will be broken. Tada Warriors,

We have arranged 4 buses which will pick you up on Sunday morning at the respective pick-up points/timings below so no need to travel with your own vehicles (cars, bikes). This will make coordination much easier for everyone.

If you still want to come with your vehicle to the pick up point then you could use two possible public parking spots -

      MRTS parking opposite TIDEL Park

      Koyambedu public bus terminus parking (enter through IN gate)

Parking at these places might be limited so if possible use public transport to come to your pick up point. Please do start early to avoid delays.
