Well, the good news is that our celebrity survived the onslaught that the weather gods delivered late yesterday afternoon and last night…:)
The RUFOUS-TAILED SCRUB ROBIN is, once again, performing well this morning for its admirers – reported by Jacques van Wyk and Tony Archer.
As a reminder, please don’t forget to send me your details if you have been to see the bird already.
Also of interest, I have attached an image of a page out of a forthcoming book on rare birds of Europe sent to be by one of the authors, Frenh ornithologist and top Western Palearctic expert, Frédéric Jiguet, which shows the various races of this species. Unfortunately, the text is in French, but hopefully, the images are of assistance anyway.
