Greetings everyone,

You would have noticed a distinct lack of updates on the RUFOUS-TAILED SCRUB ROBIN at Zeekoevlei today – that is basically because I never heard anything about it for most of the day. I did hear from one birder this evening, Tony Wood, who is our first potential Zimbabwean twitcher of this bird, that he flew in today from Harare and spent a short while there this afternoon trying to locate it, but was unsuccessful and that is the only feedback I’ve received all day on the bird, so I have no idea if it is still around or not?

Tony will be back there tomorrow morning to look for it again, so if there are any retired locals or others that don’t have any prior commitments who feel the urge to go and help Tony look for it tomorrow, please feel free to pop around – the more eyes, the better. Let’s show Tony just how friendly and helpful the Capetonian birding community is...:)

Hopefully, there will be some more definitive news on the bird tomorrow.

Kind regards

Trevor
