AFRICAN HAWK EAGLE - what was thought to be a young bird was seen on Knorhoek farm near Sir Lowry's Pass (Western Cape) on Wednesday. A group of birders visited the area this morning and were able to relocate the bird and confirm the ID. It was seen at -34.11, 18.926. This will be the first photographically confirmed record of this species for the province. It is on private property but access can be arranged by contacting Carol Britz at 0827715395 or ca...@knorhoekestate.co.za. Reception is very bad on the farm so phone calls don't really work - rather send a Whatsapp and please don't phone - reported by Charles Britz.

Kind regards
Trevor
