Just putting all potential twitchers into a holding pattern for now...

NORTHERN SHOVELER
– the news does not seem particularly good at this point in time, but let’s hope that it changes for the better. There were birders at Oudebaskraal Dam in the Tanqua Karoo National Park yesterday looking for the bird and there have also been several birders working the dam for the first half of today as well but, as yet, no-one has reported the bird and the last time that it was definitely seen was on Monday morning before lunch time. Further updates as and when I receive them.

Kind regards
Trevor

Potential Shoveler twitchers, you can now release from your holding patterns and take up your positions for landing…J

NORTHERN SHOVELER – after much stress and a lot of scanning, the male bird was relocated and photographed again this afternoon at Oudebaskraal Dam in the Tanqua Karoo National Park – reported by Tony Archer.
