RED-TAILED TROPICBIRD - news has just filtered through to me of an adult bird seen and photographed yesterday morning over the golf course clubhouse at Port Alfred (Eastern Cape). It might be worth locals keeping their eyes to the skies in the next few days - reported by Lynton Perry.

LAPPET-FACED VULTURE - a single bird has just been seen and photographed along the Boons Road just off the N14 (NW Province) at -26.215, 27.276. There is a dead cow there, so the bird may remain in the area. This is a fantastic bird for the wider GP challenge - reported by Michael Johnson.
