Opening for Thursday (tonight)

My car is in the shop again, so I won't be able to open the space. 

Can somebody else open the space tonight? 6pm-9 pm?

I want to thank Craig for stepping up and helping to open the space for me.

I was able to get my car out of the shop, but I didn't get there till an hour after open. So I want to give a big thank you to Craig.

And good thing too, as this Thursday was the busiest Thursday crowd I've seen in 5 months.

We had 10 people come through the space last night.

I'll need to start writing down names in the future as I'm terrible at remembering names.

First off we had first time visitor Red the clown, owner of entertainment  group Red the clown and friends. He came by with a few of his friends last night to work on a design for wooden coins to give away to people. After a long song and dance between MS paint, inkscape, and gimp we were able to get his balloon dog logo and text cut out with the big laser.

Next we had a lovely couple who came in looking for help to work on a prototype shoe. They are looking to design a high heel shoe whose heel and be removed, and used as a flat when needed. They event managed to get the heel off with a little help on the bandsaw.

There were a few other happenings going on around the space. But I didn't write them all down. I will for next time though.
