HI all,

Is it normal for my traceroute to google to take 22 hops? I noticed some suspicious behavior that indicated substitution of web page content, phone phreaking (or just phone number substitution), and radio broadcast overlay as well as dj substitution. Or that’s the concisest way I can describe the behavior. So I did a traceroute and got the listing shown here. I’m on my own private connection. What gives, if anything?

I don’t understand how it’s related, I’m not very net savvy.

My service is from Time-warner.  Also I just realized that I got new service two days ago and my ip address is still 192.168.0.1, which was my old service from this facility.  It’s like the whole thing is some kind of spoof or manipulation.

The 192.168 address is a private network address given via dhcp by you cable modem/ router.

Check to see if your browser has some kind of proxy setup.

Next thing would be to ensure your machine hasn't been compromised by a virus. Time to scan.

No proxies, but the WiFi tab under Advanced had a whole bunch of networks, about three of which were named iphone or Les's iPhone and such.

OK TY, I was thinking that so i appreciate the confirmation.  See, Thrusday I got new service and it is not supposed to be related to the facility WiFi.  Does the fact that the internal IP address has not changed mean that my router is not connected to the outside, and is instead running through the facility’s network?  Cause if it is I need to call them and have it fixed.
