I was working on it ,trying to figure out why james' zim1 wasn't accessible...

I double checked that your server was accessible from outside the network before I left. My guess is that that router lost or corrupted its config in a way that's not fixable through its web interface.

That arris  router with integrated WiFi is total shit, its one of the worst WiFi routers I've ever messed with. That router won't even save the password change if you reboot it. It also seemed like its dhcp reservations are all foobar. I recommend replacing it. Let's just order a Motorola docsis 3 cable modem and a new WiFi router, one that isn't 10 years old and can't handle the numbers of devices we frequently have connected. I'm sick of the WiFi dropping off and the config/routing issues.

Best gear out at the moment:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MA5U1FW/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0DD0I6/

Solid second choices:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004XC6GJ0/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JZFG6QS/

The quick fix is going to require Chris H or someone else to reset the arriss device to factory default and try again. Alternatively someone can take a tw bill and the modem to the TW office and get it swapped out for a new one (we're paying $7/mo to rent that POS). Worst cade I can walk you through all of it over the phone. I also have the settings documented so if anyone is going to make an attempt I can send you the routing and dhcp config.

Would the perp who broke the wifi please fix it.  My Raspberry Pi doesn’t work.

Hey guys, I recently started working as a Sales Engineer for Time Warner Business Class. Give me the name on the account and I will get the modem swapped for proper equipment.

What is the account number? I tried looking it up, but can't find it.

I found the account. It's not listed as a Business Account, but a residential. I don't want to stir the pot just yet as they might want to bill more than we currently spend. If someone could compile a list of events which we have participated in STEM and other community outreach, I will see about getting the service donated to the space.

James V,

Attached is a document that we provided to our accountant for the year 2014 non-profit tax filing.
It gives a list of classes, by date, and attendance.
We really are a non-profit with education as our mission.
Ironically, the ammunition for compiling another such list for 2015 resides on my RPi which is currently bedeviled by the not-so-excellent Wifi router.
It tells of Arduino classes, RPi classes, SketchUp classes, Onshape classes, summer camps, vinyl cutter classes.
And how we supported a high school robotics club as it built its own 3D printer from scratch.
And how several other groups use our space to make and repair stuff.
Not least: busted props.

All,

I have searched far and wide at TWC to find a community outreach group within TWC with budget left in the year that can help us with the bandwidth costs. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful, I will keep looking though. We might be able to get some funding through the Connect a Million Minds campaign though. It would take someone other than me to go through the application process. https://www.connectamillionminds.com/

I have another problem though, it looks as if while sending out my new credit card with a chip in it, Paypal stopped my monthly funding of 10BitWorks due to the card expiration change. I think I have that fixed, but I might have to set it up again. I had set up a tech night setup with my quad racers tonight at the space at 6:30pm. I've made sure that all attendees have money in their pocket for the tip jar.

Someone will be there to open up tonight, yes?

I also will be picking up a new router to bring out to the space today at work and trying to see what we can do about maybe increasing speeds some.

James
