Yay, Cristian!

I threw in an isometric screen shot of your OnShape 3D Model so that people won’t have to chase the link. (I’ve cc’ed our 10BitWorks Google Group.  Some of the group will know Cristian and his Mom Mayte and his Dad Manuel from their participation in our Halloween events.)

You’ve taken the little bit that I taught you for you persistence-of-vision project and applied it successfully elsewhere.  Some people refer to this level of design as 2-1/2 D.  Next we need to get you up to true 3D.  We can make the pencils to have hexagonal cross sections, the points conical, the erasers cylindrical.  Then we’ll 3D print it.

Congrats,

Don

Hi Mr. Smeller, this is Cristian from 10Bit. I wanted to let you know that I attended SoHacks (Schools Out Hacks) which is a 24 hour high school hacking event. I used the skills you taught me to innovate the SoHacks logo into a 3D Model where it can be 3D printed. I was given the best design award and also asked to come back and help run the event next year. Thank you so much for giving me a jumpstart in CAD, it's been really helpful! If you want to view the link, click here . I'll attach a photo of the SoHacks logo so that you can compare the two designs.
