Contradictory information on bi-direction associations and use of inverse_of

Hi,

Concerning this section, from here, there seems to be a contradiction in the docs, as a result of an incorrect statement, which I've demonstrated on this gist.

It seems to have confused people on stackoverflow, so may I suggest the third bullet point be removed if it is incorrect (as it appears to be), or clarification added (if I'm missing something).
