Action cable with rails 4.2

I want to integrate WebSockets with my rails 4.2 app. Can I use action cable with my rails 4.2 app? Any suggestions would be great!!

We haven't made any provisions for that. It's probably easier to upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0 than it is to figure out which elements of 5.0 you need to backport to support Action Cable.
