I could swear I had seen an option to cause messages to not just be tagged with 'X-Spam', but to show the factors? Kinda like what 'rspamc symbols ...' does?

There is `extended_spam_headers` option in `spamd` section of Rmilter configuration.

Also `extended_headers_rcpt` option was added recently (master HEAD).
