Pin end spiral cut scroll saw blade?

Does anybody make a a spiral cut scroll saw blade with pinned ends?

A fellow woodworker has asked my help with a scroll saw project. His scroll saw is an older model which uses pinned end  blades. The work piece is 4" wide and 3 feet long. He has not been able to find a spiral cut blade with pinned ends.

My suggestion is to cut the the long stuff with the scroll saw, and do the cross cuts by hand with a coping saw, fret saw, etc. 

Any alternative advise would be appreciated.
