Students!  This clarifies information about the April 1-May 8 RRCC STUDENT VISUAL ART EXHIBIT and our FIW participation.
  • It is not our end of semester show or an offsite show
  • It is a 5-week collaborative show organized by RRCC's Art dept, of which FIW is a part. It offers students an opportunity to professionally exhibit their works in Red Rocks' gallery space along with paintings, photographs, ceramics -- all the visual arts.
  • To submit your work from any semester, get approval from your FIW instructor for that class.  All submissions must be completely finished – no incomplete works please.  Pieces must remain in the show for the entire exhibit.

Critical dates:

  • April 1:  Students take their pieces plus  a good quality digital photo of each to Deborah Dell in the Art Dept.  This allows Deborah's lows  staff time to plan the layout of the show & create promotional materials that include photos of what will be included in the event.  Photos should have a plain backdrop if at all possible. (Buff will have a drop cloth available)
  • April 3:  Deborah and her staff set up the exhibit
  • April 9:  Official show opening and lunch reception from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  It is part of the campus-wide ‘History Day’, when the public will be visiting the campus
  • May 8:  show closes and is de-installed
