Registering local service onto a remote system.

I ssh into a machine, "remote" from my local machine "local". 

Now on "remote" I run 

$ rpyc_registry.py

On "local" I run 

$ ./rpyc_classic.py --registry-host remote

But the "remote" registry does not seem to register the "local" server. I also tried using IP address of "remote", but it did not work.  What am I doing wrong ?

Probably UDP broadcasting issues. Try using a TCP registry (there's a command line switch I think)
