GGIR version 2.0 is now on CRAN.

Main updates:
GGIR now facilitates external function embedding, enabling you to apply your own R/Python functions to the raw data while benefiting from the existing data handling framework https://bit.ly/2YqBFJF.
- GGIR’s sleep estimates are now better fed into its time-use analysis. Output variable names for both have been revised to be more intuitive and documentation has been expanded https://bit.ly/3fgQkNE.
- GGIR’s package vignette now clarifies how to use published intensity cut-points from various data metrics, for hip and wrist-worn accelerometer data collected in a variety of age groups https://bit.ly/2xsrYzj.

See change log for full overview.

Hi, Vincent,
Do you have a variable name  comparison between the old and new version? I have to update the variable names after I run ggir 2.0. Do you have some excel files for the variable definition since it takes more energy to figure out the variable names from the GGIR vignettes.
Thanks.
Best,
Dora

Hi Dora, We do not have such an Excel file. If you were familiar with the old variable names I would hope that the new variable names are easy to match. If you can post your observed matching variable names here and the variable names you are uncertain then others may be able to help/learn from it.
Thanks,
Vincent

Hi, Vincent,
Thank you so much for your kind reply. Yes, I can find the variable definition. I just made a link table for certain variables  that I used in my analysis instead of for all..
I got some errors for part5 which it runs without problem before. The data includes a sleep log file with some missingness for some samples. Would like to have a hint on this.

Thanks.
Best,
Dora

Can you share your table with me? Maybe I can quickly spot the incorrect interpretation of the new versus the old variables. Maybe the issue is that the daytime sustained inactivity 'SIB' has disappeared from part 5 in version 2.0

Best wishes,
Vincent
