RIDE fails to install on Windows 7 64-bit (wxPython not found)

Hi,

I am trying to install RIDE but failing.
I am on Windows 7 64-bit.

So far I have installed:
Python 2.7.6 (to current user only; install to all users failed)
- manually set the PATH to C:/Python27/Scripts
Pip
Robot Framework 2.8.4
wxPython 2.8.12.1
RIDE (using one-click installer)

When I run ride.py it says
wxPython not found.

But it is installed ... I can see it in Windows Add/remove programs list.
Does anyone know what is wrong?

Ugh

There are multiple versions available. The easiest way to try, did you install the correct version for you is to start cmd and type:
1) python
2) import wx
3) import wxversion
4) print wxversion.getInstalled()

if errors happen on steps 1-3 then there is something wrong in your installation and reinstallation should fix it. On the step 4 output you can compare to the ride installation requirements.

Not debugging anything here but what is being inputted in your screenshot is wrong. 

You want:

>>> import wxversion

>>> print wxversion.getInstalled()

Hi Tatu,

While running ride.py I m getting issue. However, I have installed Robot Framework 3.0.2 (Python 2.7.13 on win32) and  wxPython2.8-win64-unicode-2.8.12.1-py27.exe on python 2.7.13.

Even tried running following commands I got issue on 2 Step. Could you please look it & guide me how it can be work smooth for me.

You installed a wrong package of wxPython. You must install the one for the same bit size as your Python, which is 32bit.

Uninstall wxPython2.8-win64-unicode-2.8.12.1-py27.exe and install the 32bit package.
