SPECIAL ROVER 2M SIMPLEX DRILL

7:00pm / Wednesday, Oct 22, 2014 / North County Emergency Communications Net

All Amateurs are invited to participate, including all ROARS members.

Repeater check-ins begin at 7:00pm on the 147.030 (+103.5) ECRA Repeater on Palomar Mountain, and then we switch to Simplex so that you can make as many Simplex contacts as possible. Test out your rigs and antennas to determine their readiness.

There will be a special rover deployment this week that will be explained on the repeater at the beginning of the net.

The objective is to see how many of the Rovers you can hear / and contact, thus simulating the conditions of a real incident. Rovers will be on the move in all three sectors that you see on the map below.  You can also contact fixed stations located throughout the County to map your own simplex coverage.  Try all three frequencies. Contact as many stations as possible.

SIMPLEX Rover Frequencies... 146.550 Coast, 146.445 Inland, 147.480 Mountain Backcountry.
