Problem with generating index

I'm new in using STAR to do the alignment and had the error report as follows

STAR --runThreadN 16 --runMode genomeGenerate --genomeDir /home/fyan0002/Dakang-EXp2/STAR_index/ --genomeFASTAFiles /home/fyan0002/Dakang-EXp2/Ref_files/ENSEMBL/Mus_musculus.GRCm38.dna_sm.primary_assembly.fa --sjdbGTFfile /home/fyan0002/Dakang-EXp2/Ref_files/ENSEMBL/Mus_musculus.GRCm38.86.gtf --sjdbOverhang 49

EXITING: FATAL INPUT ERROR: unrecoginzed parameter name "genomeFASTAFiles" in input "Command-Line-Initial"

And I cannot find the log.out file. Is it in the directory where I ran the code ?

Hi 严锋,

it should be --genomeFastaFiles, not capital FASTA.
