Hello,

I am a newbie to rhomobile and I need some advice/info on how to get started.

I want to develop a barcode scanning application for Motorola MC2180 mobile computing device and I am development on Windows 7.

I have downloaded RhoMobile Suite 4.0. Does it come with an emulator? if not what/where should I get?

What other pieces (and version) of software do I need?
Thanks,

Raymond

Hello,

Can Visual Studio 2010 be used or is the highest version supported 2008?

Thanks,

Hi Raymond,
the highest version of Visual Studio that can target Windows CE 6.0 is VS2008.

Hi Pietro,

Can I use VS2008 express?
What about VS2008 Standard?

Thanks,
Raymond

Raymond,
as you can see from this product comparison on MS website:

you need at least VS2008 Professional to build "Smart Device" projects.
