Word cloud example.

Here's one quick example of a word cloud based on your data. Do you think this could be useful to the purposes of the project?

Look fwd to your feedback.

I have asked the product management folks to comment, but it looks
good to me.

It's clear that we would want the ability to omit specific words. In
this case, I would guess that "de", "el", and "la/LA" would be
examples of words to exclude. It also looks like we would want case-
insensitivity (la/LA, el/EL).

Thanks!

Hi Gerard,

I hope you're still monitoring this forum. We were curious what software or service you used to produce this word cloud. We found one Java FLOSS option, but it seems to only render the words horizontally, rather than mixing horizontal and vertical (with nice colors) as this one has.

Thanks much,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I hope you're doing well.
To test the wordcloud idea we used http://www.wordle.net/  It was to have a quick PoC and not a possible impl as it's an online service that you wouldn't give confidential data to.
How did the android hacking turned? The spirit over here was a bit on the low side after a weekend with little progress. Hopefully we can learn from the lessons of this experience and prepare better for a next opportunity.

kr, Gerard.

Thanks much Gerard.

Yes, we sure learned a lot about how to prepare for a hackathon! We already applied some of it to an event a week or two later, and I'm sure we will do even better at our next one.
