Ajay,

You will have to install Mahout or Spark on top of Hadoop to run any machine learning process.

Just Rhadoop might not be sufficient unless you build a package on top of it.

R has a package that provides SVM, so you can use that. http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/e1071/index.html
