elliptics as nginx cache storage

Hi! I have some servers that acts like frontents to backend (openstack swift) i want to store nginx cache in elliptics to distribute it for all frontends.

I know that nginx able to get data from elliptics eblob (patch outdated? does it supports latest nginx?). 

I want to use minimal external software in this  case, so does it possible to install on frontends elliptics and patch nginx to support eblob?

Or i need elliptics proxy, mastermind and other stuff for my use-case?
