Hi,

Does anyone know what sort of signal the Resol V40 flow meter produces? Perhaps it's a simple reed switch that turns on and off as the meter turns? Also, has anyone used a different flow meter with Resol controllers for measuring heat? Cheers for any thoughts.

Hi Cam,

sorry for being late with this reply, but perhaps it is still helpful.

Yes, the V40 uses a simple reed contact that get closed for a short time duration for each of its magnet’s rotation.

And no, I have not used different flow meters myself besides the usual (RESOL supplied) suspects, sorry.

Best regards,
    Daniel

Zitat von Cam <cya...@googlemail.com>:
I have tried with I flow meter with much hier accuracy and therfore
higher frequencies of the pulses on the Reed contact, but the MX
controller was not able to sample these accuractely, and also the
ratio was not adjustable with this fine resolution.
If you choose another flow sensor which is somehow "slow" (I guess the
configurable range in the controller is a good start point) I think it
generally should work. And of course it is better if it doesn't bounce
much...

Kind regards,
Rapha
