The Gerrit Community, with the collaboration of CollabNet, Gerrit and SkillsMatter are Happy to Announce the Gerrit User Summit & Hackathon 2017 [1] — THE event of the year for everything related to Gerrit Code Review and Development Pipeline.

This event builds on the success of past GitTogether and then Gerrit User Summits [2] and will be a two-days hackathon (by invitation only) followed by a two-days global event opened to everyone in the Gerrit Code Review ecosystem.
Gerrit user Summit will be held in London (UK), October 2nd-3rd, at CodeNode - SkillsMatter.
The Gerrit User Summit is the place where all of major Gerrit users annually meet and exchange experiences and practices that foster the community with new and useful ideas. Gerrit experts, continuous delivery thought leaders and companies at the User Summit will help to shape the future of Gerrit.
The event will have a single track and 12+ sessions to help users get the most business value out of Gerrit Code Review. They will be for every level of user proficiency, from beginners to advanced Gerrit masters!

The Gerrit Call for Papers is open [3] from now until 31st of July. If you are interested in speaking, please submit a talk proposal.

I have setup a simpler domain to register to the Gerrit User Summit 2017:
It is strongly recommended to register to event *sooner* rather than later, as the available places are running out pretty fast.
At the current rate, we will be fully booked in around 20 days, reserve your space now!
If you have booked but then you can't attend, please let us know so that we can give the seat to another person.
... Last but not least ... how to post your talk suggestion, in just three steps:
1. Clone the summit/2017 repository, with the Gerrit hook included
git clone https://gerrit.googlesource.com/summit/2017 && (cd 2017 && curl -Lo `git rev-parse --git-dir`/hooks/commit-msg https://gerrit-review.googlesource.com/tools/hooks/commit-msg ; chmod +x `git rev-parse --git-dir`/hooks/commit-msg)
2. Copy the template into your talk
cd 2017/sessions && cp template.md myamazingtalk.md
3. Commit and upload for review
git add myamazingtalk.md && git commit -m 'This is my amazing talk' && git push origin HEAD:refs/for/master

We are expecting new faces showing up at the Summit, so feel free to propose revamped talks on topics already discussed in the past few years. (e.g. How to write a plugin, possibly updated to include PolyGerrit UX)
