Issue with SSH host key

Recently I upgraded Gerrit from 2.12.3 to 2.14.2.

The service is running fine ,but I observed following warnings in catalina-daemon.out

Logs:

[sshd-SshServer[467fb7a9]-nio2-thread-1] WARN org.apache.sshd.common.keyprovider.FileKeyPairProvider : Failed (StreamCorruptedException) to load key resource=/home/gerritsb/gerrit/etc/ssh_host_ecdsa_key: Invalid DER: object is not an OID: SEQUENCE

While upgrading following keys got created under Gerrit/etc

ssh_host_ecdsa_key.pub

ssh_host_ecdsa_key

ssh_host_ecdsa_384_key.pub

ssh_host_ecdsa_384_key

ssh_host_ecdsa_521_key

ssh_host_ecdsa_521_key.pub

I am not sure how to fix this warning, any pointer would be a great help

Hi list,

I have the same issue.

I tried to replaced the keys with newly generated one with no success : still the same message (even with 2.14.4).

Any tips ?

I saw the same issue. Gerrit version is 2.14.2.

I've the same issue after upgrading from 2.3.9 to 2.14.6.

Hello ,

Any one able to find a solution for this issue . Observe same issue after upgrading from 2.12 -> 2.16

Hi,

During upgradation process to 2.14.4, You might have identified strange warnings in log file and also having created other ssh_host_* keys under <Home/etc/>. Do you have below keys before and after upgration? If so then delete all other keys and restart gerrit services.
