rebase submit strategy

Hi 

We are using cherry-pick as our submit strategy, but since it doesn't handle dependencies we want to shift to "rebase if necessary"

Have you all come across any issues with using "rebase" strategy?

We use "Rebase if Necessary" since 2012 and it's pretty good. It showed to be the best submit strategy for us. It worths to try.

AFAIK there's only one important issue related to merge commits:


Unfortunately this ticket was opened 2 years ago :-(

If I understand correctly "Rebase if Necessary" doesn't automatically append the footers to the commit (Reviewed-On, Reviewed-By, etc). Is there another way to do that?
