Great! :-)
Thanks to everybody!

Is it also possible to publish official SHA1 checksums or similar to verify the download?

Well, these are different!
Maven vs. official release URL:

$ ls -l *.war
-rw-rw-r-- 1 waitzmar space 44539919 Apr 17 04:48 gerrit-2.11.war
-rw-rw-r-- 1 waitzmar space 44541247 Apr 17 05:07 gerrit-war-2.11.war

$ sha1sum *.war
bffbeab1201c807b8c26015d8194e96c57d15bd5  gerrit-2.11.war
631b38e700f341b636da8079bda47d6adcc8f241  gerrit-war-2.11.war

The Maven war has a version of "v2.11-dirty", while the released war has the correct v2.11 version.

Gah!

The WAR from the download link is correct. That one is built on my
desktop and I tested it.

The one on Maven was built on my laptop due to my desktop internet
connection not being able to do the deploy through the proxy. Looks
like I missed to properly update the plugin submodules before I built it :(

Thanks for noticing this.

Binary packages (Deb / Rpm) of Gerrit version 2.11 are now available as well.

If you have already installed Gerrit 2.10 using them, you need to execute:

(on Debian / Ubuntu)
apt-get update & apt-get install gerrit

(on CentOS / RedHat)
yum clean all && yum install gerrit

If you have not configured yet the GerritForge / BinTray repositories, the instructions are on:

NOTE: The upgrade command will automatically stop Gerrit, upgrade and reindex. Once the upgrade is completed Gerrit will need to be started again manually.

note: 2.11 still needs to be announced on the home page :-)

It's added now.

Are these built with the war file from the Google storage (download link in the release notes) or the one on Maven Central?

Built using Google Storage's images, they should be fine then.
