[Gerrit 2.12.2] Why no REST API to create tag.

 Why no REST API to create tag in Gerrit?

I think tag is very useful to record different kinds of versions. However, Rest API is very light to fork new branches with REST API (Without code base requirement), but if we follow this idea, it's hard to tag the fork-point.

Any schedule to implement this feature? Or some new idea?

 The change 78393, was merged. But I don't see the REST API to delete tag? This feature should be considered?  Seems like in pair feature, just be like the branch API.

It will be available in version 2.13.   It's not in 2.12.3 because we don't backport new features into stable releases.

Note that the change mentioned above only adds the REST API endpoint. No UI was added yet.

Before upgrading Gerrit, we may cherry-pick changes from Gerrit master branch.

So, I ask for help from this discuss groups.

I would appreciate your sharing the change change numbers on this developing feature.
