Prometheus metrics plugin

I am writing a small plugin to expose Gerrit metrics to Prometheus.

I think it would be appropriate to host it on gerrit.googlesource.com, like the other metrics plugin: something like https://gerrit.googlesource.com/plugins/metrics-reporter-prometheus/

What is the procedure to request such a project?
