Hi all,

I'd like to drop support for Python 2.5 in repo. Doing so would allow
us to use some nice features of modern Python as well as make it
possible to support Python 3.

The oldest supported Ubuntu (10.04) uses Python 2.6, so I think that
most people using an up-to-date OS should be OK.

I'd like to begin doing merging Python 2.5 incompatible changes at the
end of this month, but please respond with any concerns you may have.

Hi,

sounds good to me! Building Android has required Ubuntu 10.04
for 2 years now, I can't imagine anyone running repo on something older.
At Sony Mobile it shouldn't be an issue anyway.

The first change that breaks Python 2.5 support has been merged. Any
clients still using Python 2.5 will need to be updated before the next
repo push to the stable branch (unscheduled).

The deed is done. A new release of repo has been pushed.
