I was able to get it to boot and run on my Surface Pro 3 by using the Android x86 efi installer from XDA. Just renamed the .zip to.ISO and it I stalled just fine

ok, I've installed phoenix os with the android installer.

now i'm able to boot into the grub menue, but if i select android, there is only a white, blinking cursor on a black screen -.-

Here is how I edited my grub entry in order to get it to boot. You may need to change the source drive and location for your own needs:

that is a squash file system. unsquash system.sfs to system.img. you need a tool for that or a command.

I could help, it uses grub to dual boot

Install Android_x86 using the installer.
It will create a AndroidOs folder in the partition you install it to.
Copy the system.img, iniitrd.img, kernel, ramdisk.img from PhoenixOS to that folder.
Download one of data.img from here:https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0B7FVb6PLKRERMXZpUnBZX1kweU0/edit
Extract and copy/move it to PhoenixOS folder.
Download this grub file https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7FVb6PLKREReWlacC14Ymdwa2c/view?usp=docslist_api

NOW,
Right click Start > Command prompt (Admin)

mountvol B: /s

Type

B:

Then

cd efi\Android

Then copy over your edited grub.cfg

copy C:\Users\YouruserName\Downloads\grub.cfg grub.cfg

Path should be where the grub.cfg file is stored. And make sure the extensions are visible.
Now hit restart holding shift. Choose from drive select AndroidOs.
You should boot into PhoenixOS

anyone besides me have trouble using the USB Maker? Has worked earlier and have tried with two different USB memory sticks. Go maybe 10%, and then it throwing an error saying can't create / update the partition. This results in memory corruption and I have to use a partitioning program to recover usb memory.

@shaswata yes your pendrive is fat32 but Phoenix OS created a ext2 data partition on your pendrive, where data is stored, now your pendrive has two partitions EFI and DATA, change DATA to ext4, and your problem will be sorted out :)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Windows can't access ext partitions by default, you need to install ext2fsd.

Works nicely (compared to RemixOS which just kernel panics and reboots when it reaches the ramdisk) except that it has no way to use Google accounts, the Play Store or Google search app... and the Package Installer has been modified so it refuses to install any APK that in considers a launcher (including the search app for some reason). Also, it's a weird mix of 64 and 32 bit stuff. The kernel is 64 bit, but most if not all of the userland stuff is 32 bit, which doesn't really make sense.

Chrome works fine, you just can't sign in with your account. You can use it to browse though. That said, the browser that comes with PhoenixOS is pretty nice.
