wifi is not working in Remix os

even in older 2.0 version my wifi is not turning on... plz tell me solution of that.

bluetooth is working fine.

Seems to be a kernel related issue if I would have to guess.

Just like my PC will not go into standby and sensors are always on and keeping him awake...

I'm afraid with such things we have to wait for future updates.

like some old sony vaio has hardware key to turn on and off the wifi.

I have wifi issues too on hp stream 11 (rtl8723be card). You have to be next to the router to get signal. Same issue exists on linux distros as well, but there, you can easily build the newer card drivers, which solves it. No idea how to apply new drivers in android :D

On mine, /system is mounted read only (ro) and thus applying armant...@gmail.com's patch didn't work, can't save.

I tried a reinstallation and it didn't give me any option to change the installation from read only to something else

you can only edit init.sh if you have the rooted iso for Remix. That's another rabbits warren that involves:

1. Unpacking the "unrooted" remix iso.
   
2. Download the rooted system.img (hopefully it can be trusted)
3. Download and run RMXTool to convert the downloaded system.img to system.sfs.
4. Replace the original system.sfs (in extracted/unpacked iso folder - step 1) with the one converted at step 3.
5. Recontsruct the new iso (now it has the roorted system.sfs)
6. Fire up Remix.

But like most things Remix, that does not work either with Virtual Box. Complains that the image is not bootable. IMHO until basic things like wifi, bluetooth, google play services work on Remix OS - Out of the box - then the juice is just not worth the squeeze. Users should not have to ferret around in back-alley forums looking for pieces of a puzzle to get basic components working. Until it does there are technologies that allow you to be more productive and I suggest you use those instead.

Dicen que editando "init.sh" situado en /system/etc/

Ponemos la carpeta system en modo Lectura / Escritura y procedemos a editar en init.sh y agregamos lo siguiente:

La pregunta es: ¿Cómo rayos hacemos esto?

Se necesitan permisos de Root usando "ES File Explorer", pero aún así, al guardar los cambios y reiniciar, estos cambios no se guardan.

SOLO QUEDA ESPERAR UNA ACTUALIZACIÓN Y CONECTARNOS A TRAVÉS DE ETHERNET.

For remix os there are simple steps for activate wifi.

1)first, plug a rj45 cable for ethernet
2)launch s terminal and type these commands :
Apt update
Apt list upgradable
Apt upgrade
If apt upgrade ask for yes so type y then enter
5)after updates close s terminal then unplug ethernet cable
6)reboot remix os
7)now wifi must will be activated :)
