Last week a community member dropped of a donated Core i7 Dell laptop at the public library where I work. I'll be delivering it
to a refugee family from Haiti later this week. The laptop is in perfect working condition. I reckon the CPU is one of the
earlier Core i7 chips. Still, this laptop is blazing fast. It has 8 GB of RAM installed.
I'll be installing TeamViewer, the excellent remote support software, so that I can volunteer time to support this
laptop remotely. The recipient family lives just 1/2 mile from where I live, so I can also stop by to visit them in person
quite easily. The family has two girls in elementary school, so I'll be installing TuxPaint for the younger girl and Scratch for the older
girl. I'll also be installing Skype, in case they need to be in touch with friends and family who are afar.
